Privacy Policy
Last updated 20 July 2026
This policy explains how dcnorthamerica.org handles information. It is a short site — a directory that lists Dominion City churches across North America and links you onward to them — and this policy is deliberately specific about the little it does rather than vague about a lot.
Who we are
This website is operated by Dominion City Church Georgia ("we", "us"), a 501(c)(3) non-profit religious organisation (EIN 26-4600482), 300 Pinnacle Way, Norcross, GA 30071, United States. For the purposes of data protection law we are the controller of information collected through this website.
Privacy questions and requests: admin@dcgeorgia.org.
An important distinction
The churches listed in the directory are independently operated. Dominion City Church Georgia runs this directory website; it does not control the other churches' own websites, social media pages, mailing lists or records. When you click through to a campus, you leave this site and that church's own practices apply. If you want to reach, correct or delete information a particular church holds about you, contact that church directly — we have no access to it.
We never ask you for personal information
This website has no contact forms, no newsletter signup, no account creation, no file uploads and no donation processing. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or payment details, and there is nowhere on this site to enter them.
What we do collect is limited to analytics about the visit itself, described below.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages viewed, which campus you clicked "Get directions" or a campus link for, whether the Camp Meeting video was played, and what you typed into the church search box.
- Device and technical data — browser type, device type, screen size, operating system, referring website and approximate location (city or region level, derived from your IP address).
- Identifiers — a randomly generated analytics identifier stored in a cookie, if you have allowed analytics cookies.
We record search terms for one reason: when somebody searches for a city we have no church in, it tells us where people are looking for a Dominion City and cannot find one. It genuinely shapes where the network plants next. The search box is intended for city and state names, and we would ask you not to type anything personal into it.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use two categories:
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function or to remember your privacy choice. These do not require consent.
- Analytics — help us understand how the directory is used. These are optional and are only set with your consent, as described under "Your choices" below.
We use no advertising or marketing cookies whatsoever. This site runs no advertising, no remarketing, no pixels and no ad-personalisation, and the corresponding signals are switched off permanently in our analytics configuration.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
dcna_consent |
This website (local storage, not a cookie) | Remembers your analytics choice and when you made it, so you are not asked again | Strictly necessary | 12 months |
_ga |
Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another so repeat visits are not counted as new people | Analytics | 2 years |
_ga_DM5CYFH85G |
Google Analytics | Maintains the state of the current visit | Analytics | 2 years |
| YouTube cookies | YouTube (Google) | Set only if you click play on the Camp Meeting video. Nothing is loaded from YouTube before that click | Set by your action | Varies (Google) |
How we use information, and our legal basis
- To understand and improve the directory — measuring which churches people click through to and which cities they search for. Legal basis under UK/EU GDPR: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep the site available and secure — our hosting provider processes connection data to deliver pages and block attacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in operating a functioning, secure website.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyse how visitors use the site. The information generated is transmitted to and processed by Google.
We see aggregate reporting — for example "40 people opened directions to DC Marietta this week", or "most of our visitors are in Texas". We do not see your name, and we make no attempt to identify individual visitors. Google Analytics 4 uses your IP address to approximate your city or region and does not log or store the IP address itself.
We have not enabled Google Analytics Advertising Features (Remarketing, Demographics and Interest Reporting, or Google Signals). No advertising cookies are used and no data is used to build advertising audiences.
You can read more about how Google handles data from sites that use its services here: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Your choices
The consent banner. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or Canada, no analytics cookies are set unless you choose "Accept". If you decline, or simply close the banner, nothing is set. Elsewhere, analytics is on by default and you can switch it off at any time.
Change your mind at any time using the control, which also appears in the footer of every page. Withdrawing is exactly as easy as consenting.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a binding opt-out and disable analytics automatically, in every region, without showing you a banner.
You can also:
- Install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, which applies to every site you visit.
- Block or delete cookies for this site in your browser settings. Nothing will break — the directory and its search run entirely in your browser.
- Use the industry opt-out tools at YourAdChoices (DAA) or, in Europe, Your Online Choices. These cover advertising cookies generally; this site sets none.
The Camp Meeting video
The events section shows a still image of our Camp Meeting trailer. Nothing is loaded from YouTube until you click play — until then YouTube is not contacted and knows nothing about your visit. If you do click play, the video is served through YouTube's no-cookie domain, which does not set cookies for advertising purposes. At that point YouTube receives your IP address in order to deliver the video and its own privacy policy applies.
Fonts and hosting
Typefaces are served from this website's own servers. No font request is made to Google or any other third party, and no data about you leaves this site in order to render text.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes connection data, including your IP address and an approximate country, in order to deliver pages, protect against attacks, and to tell this site whether to show you the consent banner. Cloudflare acts as our processor.
How we share information
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. Information is shared only with the service providers needed to run the site:
- Google (Google Analytics) — analytics processing, if you have consented.
- Cloudflare — hosting, content delivery and security.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger, reorganisation or transfer of the ministry's operations.
"Selling" or "sharing" personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used in California and other US state privacy laws. We do not use personal information for targeted advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Third-party links
The main purpose of this site is to hand you off — to an individual Dominion City church's website, Instagram or Facebook page, to our Camp Meeting event site, or to Google Maps when you tap "Get directions". Once you follow one of those links you are on a service we do not operate, governed by its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for how those services handle your information, and we would encourage you to read their policies.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained by Google for a limited period, after which it is deleted automatically. Your consent choice is stored on your own device for up to 12 months, after which we ask you again. You can delete it sooner at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Data security
The site is served over HTTPS and hosted on infrastructure with industry-standard protections. Because we hold no accounts, no payment details and no submitted personal information, there is very little about you for us to lose. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's privacy
This site is a public directory of church locations, directed at adults and parents rather than children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and there is nowhere on this site for anyone to submit personal information. We serve no behavioural advertising to anyone. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, contact admin@dcgeorgia.org and we will delete it.
Your rights
Because this site holds no name, email address or account, we generally cannot identify you or link analytics data back to you as an individual. That limits what we can retrieve on request — but the rights below still apply and we will honour them as far as the data allows. The most effective step you can take is to clear this site's cookies in your browser, which severs the connection entirely.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access your personal data; to have it corrected or erased; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (use Cookie settings — withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EEA it is the data protection authority of the country where you live or work.
If you are in California
Under the CCPA/CPRA you have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used; to request deletion or correction; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising; to limit the use of sensitive personal information; and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. As stated above, we do not sell or share personal information and we collect no sensitive personal information. You may use an authorised agent to submit a request.
Our thresholds mean the CCPA may not formally apply to us, and as a non-profit we are likely outside its scope entirely — but we provide these rights and honour Global Privacy Control regardless.
If you are in Canada
Under PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25 you have the right to access and correct personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent. Canadian visitors are shown the consent banner and no analytics cookies are set without your agreement.
How to exercise a right
Email admin@dcgeorgia.org. We may need to ask for information to verify your request, and we will respond within the timeframe required by the law that applies to you. If your request concerns an individual church rather than this directory, we will tell you so, as those records are not ours to reach.
International data transfers
We are based in the United States and our service providers process data in the United States and other countries. If you are visiting from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, where data protection laws differ from those in your country. Where required, our providers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for these transfers.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
There is no accepted industry standard for how websites should respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, so this site does not respond to DNT. We do honour Global Privacy Control, which is a recognised opt-out signal, as described under "Your choices".
Changes to this policy
If this site starts collecting personal information — for example if we add a contact form, a newsletter, or online giving — we will update this policy before that feature goes live and change the date at the top. Where the change is material, we will ask for your consent again through the banner.
